Most councils ask for a weekly or monthly vibration report, although high-risk projects may require daily summaries or real-time access. A good report usually includes:
A summary of vibration levels recorded
Any exceedances of the agreed threshold
What activity was happening at the time
Photos of monitor placement
Notes on complaints or site changes
Recommendations for improvement (where needed)
The goal is to show transparency and demonstrate that the construction team is actively managing the impact. Reports don’t have to be overly technical — they just need to be clear, honest and consistent.
