Sysco Environmental Ltd recently undertook a historic plaster anthrax survey in Craven Arms, a village west of Birmingham. The primary objective of this comprehensive survey was to ensure the safety and health of the workers and students during the essential roof repairs of a local school building. Given the potential historical use of animal hair in plaster, which could carry anthrax spores, the need for an anthrax survey was critical.
Our team conducted anthrax tests on the plaster to identify any traces of Bacillus anthracis, the bacterium responsible for anthrax.
The survey's findings provided valuable data, reassuring both the school administration and repair contractors that any potential risks were thoroughly assessed and managed. By addressing these concerns upfront, Sysco Environmental Ltd facilitated a safer environment for the ongoing renovation project, ensuring the well-being of all individuals involved.
