In September 2024, a lead paint analysis using samples from a site in Bolton was carried out. Three paint samples from various areas were tested, with results showing that none of the samples contained lead at hazardous levels. The analysis concluded that these painted surfaces pose minimal risk under regular conditions.
While no special safety measures were required, general protective practices, especially during any work that generates dust, were recommended. Even though the lead content was low, the report emphasised that activities like sanding or cutting should still involve precautions to prevent dust exposure.
This analysis reassures the safety of the painted areas for everyday use while highlighting the importance of controlled handling during any future work to ensure worker safety and compliance with health standards.
