We conducted a mercury risk assessment in Shepton Mallet to determine if there is any residual mercury vapour risk in a room where mercury was detected following repairs and the removal of old waste pipework. Mercury tends to accumulate at the bottom of pipes; therefore, it is important to remain vigilant about mercury risk when working in laboratory facilities.
