Recently, Sysco Environmental Ltd undertook a project in Coventry focused on quantifying and decontaminating residual mercury and amalgam contamination in a surgical autoclave. Our team conducted a comprehensive evaluation to identify areas where contamination had accumulated. Utilising advanced detection techniques, we meticulously mapped out the contamination hotspots. Following this detailed assessment, we executed a thorough cleaning process to ensure the complete removal of hazardous residues. Upon completion of the decontamination procedure, we issued a certification confirming that the autoclave met all safety standards and was safe to be put back into service. This project underscores our commitment to ensuring safe and contaminant-free environments in medical settings, reflecting our dedication to excellence in occupational hygiene and environmental safety.
