A mould and damp survey’s primary role is diagnosis. The surveyor identifies what type of damp is present, where it’s coming from, and the likely causes. They then provide a detailed report with recommendations for remedial action. In some cases, the same company may also offer repair services, but this is separate from the survey itself. Think of it like going to a doctor for tests — the survey gives you the results and treatment plan, but the actual “treatment” is a separate step.
