In December 2024, a BREEAM Assessment was conducted at a waste and fleet maintenance site in Ipswich to check indoor air quality and ensure compliance with sustainability and health standards. This assessment was a follow-up to a previous test in November 2024, focusing on air quality improvements in office spaces, maintenance areas and warehouses.
The site passed all indoor air quality requirements, meaning the air is clean and safe. Levels of formaldehyde and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) were well within the acceptable limits, meeting the strict BREEAM Indoor Air Quality guidelines. This confirms that the work environment poses no air quality risks to employees or visitors.
Since the assessment showed compliance, no additional measures are required. However, maintaining proper ventilation, minimising high-VOC materials in future renovations and conducting periodic air quality checks will help keep conditions optimal.
With these positive results, the site can move forward with confidence, ensuring a healthy and comfortable environment while meeting high sustainability standards.
