How do we find out how our office indoor air quality compares to recommended standards?

  1. Identify Key Pollutants: CO, COâ‚‚, PM, VOCs, Formaldehyde etc….
  2. Conduct Monitoring: Use handheld devices to measure pollutant levels.
  3. Compare to Standards or benchmark against outdoor air, measure outdoor air quality as a baseline to ensure indoor air is at least equal to or better than external air quality.
    • CO: Below 9 ppm (WHO).
    • COâ‚‚: Below 800 ppm.
    • PM2.5: Below 10 µg/m³ (WHO).
    • Formaldehyde: Below 0.08 ppm (WHO).
  4. Take Action if Needed: Improve ventilation, reduce pollutant sources.
