A recent Indoor Air Quality Assessment was conducted by Sysco at an office in Edinburgh to evaluate air conditions and ensure a comfortable working environment. The assessment focused on identifying potential concerns related to chemical contaminants and ventilation efficiency.
The findings were largely positive; indoor air quality was deemed good, with no significant health risks identified. Formaldehyde levels were well within recommended limits, indicating no major concerns regarding indoor air pollutants.
However, some areas showed slightly elevated levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which can originate from furniture, cleaning supplies or office equipment.
To improve air quality further, it was recommended to enhance ventilation, reduce sources of VOCs where possible and consider air purification options. Overall, the workspace was found to have a safe and healthy environment, with minor adjustments suggested for optimal indoor air quality. Regular monitoring and proactive measures will help maintain a comfortable atmosphere for employees and visitors alike.
