Can tape lift analysis detect mould on all types of surfaces?

Tape lift analysis works best on smooth, non-porous surfaces such as glass, plastic, wood, or painted walls. On porous or fibrous materials like insulation, fabrics, or unsealed drywall, the tape may not capture spores effectively. In such cases, other methods like bulk sampling or swab testing may be more appropriate.
