Our client carred out a tape lift sample, which was later reviewed in our Hoyland based laboratory, checking for signs of fungal contamination. The sample revealed traces of Cladosporium spores and minimal hyphal fragments, but no active fungal growth was detected. Cladosporium is a common environmental mould often found in soil and on plants, and in rare cases, it can be allergenic.
Sysco’s lab concluded that the detected spores likely originated from ambient air rather than indoor contamination. With no active mould growth observed, this report indicates a low likelihood of indoor fungal issues. The results provide reassurance that the area tested is clear of significant fungal contamination, although it’s always a good idea to maintain basic cleanliness to keep environmental spores at bay. This straightforward assessment supports a clean, low-risk environment regarding mould presence.
