Tomas is a real fun guy – our resident mould fanatic at Sysco Environmental and occupational hygiene expert with over ten years of industry experience across every imaginable sector, he is vastly experienced in a realm of services. Whether its anthrax or asbestos, lead reassurance to hazardous substance assessments – there isn’t much that Tomas hasn’t come across in his career and loves to gets hands-on with the weird and wonderful. However, despite all this expertise with fungi, he has found it impossible to grow his own mushrooms despite trying for the last 12 years. He’s a big fan of tonic water, (gin optional).
Nilesh is one of Sysco Environmental’s Occupational Hygienists with a MChem in Chemistry from the University of Leicester and over 7 years’ worth of experience across multiple sectors in the field. Birmingham based, Nilesh is very active in his local community with a keen interest in sports and fitness and is involved with property development in his free time along with spending time with his wife and daughter. Nilesh is particularly skilled at paying excellent attention to detail and is probably the Sysco Environmental employee with his life most together.
Extreme sports enthusiast and adrenaline junkie, Rachel is one of Sysco Environmental’s Occupational Hygienists. She is an expert in monitoring and assessing a variety of physical and chemical factors that have potential to cause harmful health effects for our customers – including dusts and chemical vapours, noise and vibration. In addition to her in-depth knowledge of occupational hygiene, Rachel has her own side-business creating custom roller-skates which she ships all around the world. Never still, she is also an incredible baker and has won more Office Bake-Offs than we can count – we particularly recommend her coconut-infused brownies.
Paul is the Sales Manager for Sysco Environmental. With over 25 years’ worth of sales experience, Paul has a long history in providing hygiene services to clients and he is dedicated to providing consistently excellent customer service. He is the man to ask for any quote or query regarding our multitude of services at Sysco Environmental. Paul is happiest when on the road, meeting people and helping them with their needs but can often be found in his free time either spending time with his family, restoring old vinyl record machines or cheering on Liverpool United – with mixed success.
The best thing to come out of Stoke-on-Trent since pottery, Keeley is the woman to ask about anything logistical or organisational – she loves a good list as much as her plants which are gradually taking over both the offices of Sysco Environmental and her home. Keeley is currently working on getting Sysco ISO 9001 accredited and is due to start an apprenticeship in Team Leadership (Level 3). The Office Manager at Sysco Environmental, her role is to keep everything running smoothly and well supplied and has a wealth of occupational hygiene knowledge from over 4 years of experience.
Admin extraordinaire and all-round good egg, Dan is the first point of contact for all incoming enquires here at Sysco Environmental. With over ten year’s worth of customer service experience, he’s an expert at helping you with any question you may have or finding the answer if he doesn’t know already! Having graduated from Durham University with a BA in English Literature and Philosophy, he enjoys confusing the office by talking about abstract philosophical concepts and is currently working towards his Level 5 CIPD in Human Resources. If he isn’t gaming or watching anime, he’s modelling a rather impressive shoe collection.
Joe is our marketing guru and reluctant IT expert (although he’s very good at it, much as he may wish sometimes, he wasn’t) at Sysco Environmental. He’s currently mid-way through his Marketing Apprenticeship which is the latest string to his bow after past careers in both customer experience and engineering having worked all over the UK and abroad. By his own admission, he prefers to work behind the scenes and is responsible for keeping our customers aware of the multitude of services we offer at Sysco. When he isn’t spending money on tattoos or enjoying a good night out with the boys, he can be found taking care of our fish colleagues.
Chickens, sausage dogs and a love of Emma Bridgewater are three things that our Accountant and HR Manager Martina particularly enjoys, not necessarily in that order. The heart of Sysco Environmental, Martina balances not only the books, being responsible for chasing invoices, managing our accounts, and ensuring Sysco Environmental runs smoothly as a business but a busy life as well in between her work as a mum of 4 and studying for a BA in Contemporary Relationship Counselling. She’d like to have Keeley’s skills at keeping plants alive but is a chronic overwaterer, much to her dismay.
Chris is Sysco Environmental’s expert at remediation and building works so is the man to ask about the practical solutions to any building related hazard – he knows a man who can fix it for you. When he isn’t up and down the UK visiting our clients and sorting out issues, no matter big or small, Chris can be found visiting somewhere beautiful glamping with his wife and family or up to some kind of random adventure – one of his most recent being impromptu pantomime star. A beer connoisseur and consummate professional, his motto can be best summed up as ‘keep on smiling’.
Health & Safety
Adrian works with Sysco Environmental to ensure that all our health and safety training, policies and procedures are above board as well as assisting Sysco with their first aid training and supplies. With over 25 years’ worth of Health and Safety experience, there isn’t much Adrian hasn’t experienced and he’s happy to help however he can to ensure everybody is working safely and sensibly. His three big life passions are beer, rugby and his wife and is a beekeeper in his spare time, making candles, cleaning products and honey in the future – although you’ll have to add your name to the list for that! You can see more regarding Adrian if you head on over to http://www.agmsafetyltd.com/
As an experienced Building Surveyor with a strong background of working in construction, Johny is our resident expert at any building related issues in the world of occupational hygiene such as mould, damp and lead that could affect a property. Super friendly and always happy to go above and beyond to help our customers, Johny can be often be found in his free time either in a caravan with his family or dreaming about the next vintage car he could acquire although the jury is still out about where in London he could successfully park it.
No office worth its salt is complete without fish and Sysco Environmental is proud to promote our piscine pals as essential due to their contributions to staff morale and sounding board for any important office decision – they never fail to provide amusement and they are always up to some kind of antics! Recently upgraded to a bigger fish tank, they spend most of their time hiding in between the plants and ornaments of the tank, swimming in circles, or eating. Jay is definitely their favourite, understandable as he cleans them and feeds them.
Martina and Tomas’ sausage dog, Pixie is a part-time member of staff who mainly specialises in barking at strangers, causing chaos, and begging for treats from different members of the Sysco Environmental team. She is currently on a diet much to her dismay and has a particular love of rummaging through bins despite repeat tellings off. However, it’s hard to tell her off too much as she is undeniably a very good girl.
