How often should LEV systems be tested?

LEV systems must be thoroughly examined and tested at least once every 14 months for processes involing metal grinding/ welding fumes, wood dust extraction and laboratory fume cupboards. 

LEV systems must be tested every 6 months for processes that involve carcinogens. 

In some cases, testing may be required more frequently depending on the nature of the substances and the risks involved.
