







It is imperative that RCS levels are assessed in the workplace in order to prevent the dangerous effects of silica dust exposure which could harm the workers’ health. RCS particles are so small that they can get into the lungs and cause a lot of damage over a period of time. It makes sure that the legal requirements are met, that is, identification of risk areas and proper measures such as ventilation and PPE to minimise the risk of exposure to the workers.
If RCS exposure is not monitored in the workplace severe outcomes can happe. It is therefore important in identifying the risks, contain them and protect the workforce as well as the organisation.
