Why is exposure to rubber fumes and dust considered dangerous?

Breathing in rubber fumes and dust is seen as risky due to the presence of substances like organic compounds (VOCs) polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and other toxic chemicals that can cause respiratory problems and skin irritation upon inhalation or extended contact with the skin. Its also believed that long term exposure could possibly heighten the chances of developing cancer. Additionally fine particles from rubber can travel deep into the lungs leading to inflammation and other ongoing respiratory issues That's why it's so important to have safety precautions in place and good airflow in areas with rubber odours and particles present.
