At Sysco Environmental Ltd, we recently carried out an hazardous substance monitoring for a client in Grantham. Our team focused on monitoring wood dust to ensure a safe working environment. During the assessment, we evaluated various work areas, paying particular attention to the wood workshop where wood working and wood dust generating activities are prevalent. We identified some areas for improvement, such as the need to consistently use local exhaust ventilation systems during cutting operations to minimise exposure. Our findings and recommendations aim to help the client to maintain high indoor air quality standards, safeguarding their employees' health and well-being.
