Anti-vibration gloves can provide some protection, but they are not a complete solution. They may help reduce higher-frequency vibrations, but they don’t remove the risk entirely. Gloves also don’t prevent the cumulative damage caused by long-term exposure. HSE does not recommend relying on them as the main control. The best way to reduce HAV risk is still through proper tool choice, maintenance, limiting use, and health surveillance. Gloves should only be seen as one part of a broader protection strategy.
