A vibration meter (accelerometer) is fastened to the tool handle while it is being used in order to measure HAV exposure. This apparatus gauges the vibration's intensity in three different directions. An "A(8) value," which is essentially the daily vibration exposure throughout an 8-hour shift, is then calculated by averaging the data. This number is contrasted with the action and limit values of the HSE. Although vibration data is frequently supplied by manufacturers, real-world measurements are more precise since vibration levels can be altered by materials, work practices, and tool wear.
