In some cases, prolonged or repeated use of certain equipment could increase the likelihood of employees experiencing higher levels of vibration exposure during their working day.

To help manage these risks, the report outlined several practical recommendations. These included improving maintenance programmes for equipment, reviewing the way certain tools are used during tasks, introducing better recording of tool usage time, and considering alternative equipment where appropriate.

Overall, the assessment provides useful insight into how vibration risks arise in workshop environments and highlights practical steps that can help protect workers’ long-term health and safety.
