Who is responsible for monitoring HAV exposure in the workplace?

Employers are ultimately in charge of keeping an eye on HAV exposure. Employers are required by law to evaluate the risk, implement control measures, and communicate with employees. The day-to-day aspects, such as scheduling tool use and ensuring that records are maintained, are typically handled by managers and supervisors. Workers have a responsibility as well; they should report any symptoms and adhere to safe work procedures. However, the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations of 2005 place the legal burden of compliance and liability on the employer.
