Our Formaldehyde Test Kit has been developed to evaluate the concentration of harmful formaldehyde in a specific location (e.g. bedroom, classroom, and/or office) or to evaluate the personal exposure of operatives during the specific task (e.g. production adhesives, compressed wood products, during fumigation and sterilisations).
Formaldehyde is a harmful substance that can cause unpleasant odours, eye irritation, respiratory irritation, eczema, and when exposures are high, some forms of cancer.

There are many sources of this hazardous substance in the home environment such as furniture and wooden products containing formaldehyde-based resins which can include;

  • Insulating materials.
  • Textiles.
  • Wallpapers.
  • Glues.
  • Household cleaning products.
  • Cosmetics.

Our do-it-yourself kit does not require specialist training. You just follow the simple instructions and send the sample back to us for accredited analysis. Once the analysis is completed we will prepare a report with interpretations for your results based on the World Health Organisation Guidance.

If you are an employer we will prepare a bespoke report detailing the results of the test and recommended action to maintain compliance with the current Hazardous Substances Regulations and Workplace Exposure Limits Indoor Air Quality.
Step One:
Read the instructions, fill in the forms and place the monitor in the location you wish to evaluate.

Step Two:
Sample for 7 days and post back to us.

Step Three:
Receive a full report with interpretations and recommendations within 20 days of sending the samples back.

If you are still concerned we will gladly discuss the report findings with you.
