Xylenes are aromatic chemicals that exist in three isomeric forms: o-, m-, and p-xylene. Commercial production results in mixed xylenes, which contain these three isomers, in addition to ethylbenzene. Mixed xylenes are used as solvents in manufacturing and laboratory processes; in glues, adhesives, printing inks, paint thinners, and sealants; and as carrier solvents for delivery of some pesticides. Absorption of xylene is mainly by inhalation of vapour but significant skin absorption may occur.

Our Xylene biological monitoring kit has been developed to evaluate the relative concentration of xylene absorbed into the body vial all routes of exposure (e.g. Inhalation, skin absorption and ingestion).

Step One:
Read the instructions and fill in the required documentation. Fill in the sample analysis consent form with unique identifiers to allow you to link the results with the correct people and processes.

Step Two:
Collect the urine sample either post shift or once you finished working with the process. Follow the instruction for more specific sampling instruction.

Step Three:
Post the samples to our laboratory.

Step Four:
You will receive a report with the results and interpretation of the collected data.

Step Five:
Our qualified industrial hygienist will contact you and answer any questions you may have about the results or processes.
