What CVWR requires for WBV
The Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 set an Exposure Action Value (EAV) of 0.5 m/s² A(8) and an Exposure Limit Value (ELV) of 1.15 m/s² A(8) for whole-body vibration. Where the EAV is exceeded, exposure must be reduced as low as is reasonably practicable; the ELV must not be exceeded.
How we measure
Seat-pad triaxial accelerometers logged over representative driving / operating cycles, with worst-axis weighting (1.4×) applied per the regulations and ISO 2631-1.
Practical controls
Suspension seat selection (with measured isolation efficiency for the dominant axis), route surface improvement, speed reduction, machine selection, rotation policies and operator training in posture and seat adjustment.
